Gerard Piqué will be out of action for two weeks after suffering a minor thigh injury last night against Real Sociedad in San Sebastian. The Catalan centre back has featured in 33 games this season, scoring four goals.

Betis frustrations grow |
Real Betis plunged to even further depths with a disheartening 2-0 home defeat to Athletic Bilbao, in which they had two players sent off, were denied two penalties and had what they thought was an undeserved spot-kick awarded against them. Iker Muniain opened the scoring in the first half from 12 yards and Damien Perquis, who had conceded the penalty, was sent off before the break.
