FC Barcelona return to La Liga action tonight, as they prepare to welcome CA Osasuna to the Camp Nou knowing that only a win will be sufficient as they bid to keep their title hopes alive headed into next week's El Clasico. Thankfully, Osasuna do not travel well and Barça appeared to be back to their best on Wednesday as they swatted Manchester City aside to reach the quarter finals of the 2013-2014 UEFA Champions League. Certainly, a Barcelona win seems to be on the cards today - but didn't we assume the same last weekend?
Travelling to the Jose Zorilla, Barcelona didn't just drop two points, they lost all three with a dismal performance against Real Valladolid. A repeat showing probably wouldn't surprise many Culés, but it would likely spell the end of Barça's title hopes. From here on in, every game is a "final" and Barça need to perform accordingly. After all, even if Barcelona haven't been as dominant as yesteryear, they are a "big game" team.
How many finals have we lost since Guardiola took charge? How many have we lost since Tito Vilanova took the reigns? When we reach those finals, we know what to do -- and even if the remaining matches are not "finals" by name, we should treat them as if they are. It worked against Manchester City, so why wouldn't it work against Osasuna? Predict the score of tonight's La Liga clash between FC Barcelona and CA Osasuna by commenting with your prediction below. Best of luck!
