La Liga: FC Barcelona vs Athletic Bilbao: Predict the Score

A chance to predict the score of Barcelona's crucial La Liga match-up with Athletic Bilbao at the Camp Nou

David Ramos

Nothing but a win will be sufficient. Lose or draw, and La Liga really is gone for good. Well, not mathematically, but near enough as to make no difference. Win, and our slim hopes are kept alive for another week, and thanks to the generosity of the Spanish Football Federation, Barça will climb above eternal rivals Real Madrid in the standings. With a UEFA Champions League semi-final to prepare for, Madrid have the week off, even though no such luxury was afforded to Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid.

After three successive defeats, morale is low at the Camp Nou and a visit from Athletic Bilbao is hardly ideal. An opponent so intense, so hungry for success and so effective against Barcelona just a few days after a soul crushing Copa del Rey defeat against Real Madrid? It's a recipe for disaster.

Then you consider the injuries. Gérard Pique, Neymar, Jordi Alba; Marc Bartra isn't 100%, things really aren't looking great for the Blaugrana. Sergi Gomez has been called up from the B team, but even so, he seems unlikely to feature. Personally, I would roll the dice and gamble on the likes of Cristian Tello; let them play for their place at the club, hope that their enthusiasm makes a difference with the club stuck in the doldrums.

Will Barcelona be able to get back on track with a home win tonight to keep their La Liga title hopes alive? Or will Athletic Bilbao hammer the final nail into the Blaugrana coffin? Predict the score of tonight's match by commenting with your prediction below. Best of luck!
