UEFA Champions League: 29 April 2014: Live Open Thread

A live thread to discuss tonight's UEFA Champions League semi-final between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich

Alex Grimm

The first-leg was indecisive. A 1-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu probably isn't something to shout about if you're Real Madrid, even if it did come against Bayern Munich. Yes, they are the reigning holders of the competition, but they are vulnerable. Manchester United displayed just as much at Old Trafford, and they have been abysmal this season. Anyway, Pep Guardiola has 90 minutes to save himself and Bayern Munich from the humiliation of an early exit from the competition. Real Madrid are potentially just 180 minutes away from La Decima. They are so close they can almost taste it, but can they deliver? After falling short on so many occasions in recent years, I wouldn't be celebrating just yet if I were a Madridista...

If you're watching tonight's game, be sure to use this as the dedicated live thread for the action.
