Good news! Barça's front office is not as crazy as we thought they were. It turns out they somewhat think about what's best for the team, therefore left-back Jordi Alba is not going away.
That's according to reports from Mundo Deportivo. They say that Alba is one of Luis Enrique's favorite players on the squad, and he is one of the most important pieces for the team's future. He is part of the list of completely unsellable players, which includes Lionel Messi, Neymar, Andrés Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Piqué. They're the team's backbone, the main structure, the starting point of Barça's rebuilding.
There were reports that suggested that new Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal strongly considered Alba as a replacement for Patrice Evra, and alleged offers were being prepared.
Now, it appears to be clear that Barcelona does not want to sell Alba, and wants to build a team around him and the other Untouchables.
That's a relief, right?
