PSG Manager Laurent Blanc, on Marquinhos: 'He's staying'

After a lot of rumours that linked center-back Marquinhos to Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain manager made it clear that he is not going anywhere

What about another chapter to the Marquinhos Book? We got one!

In an interview this Wednesday afternoon to a local French radio, Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc made it clear that the Brazilian is going nowhere. "Marquinhos stays. I can guarantee you that. No doubt about it". PSG's coach has Marcos as part of his plans for next season, even though he is still going to be on the bench, after the signing of David Luiz to start with Thiago Silva.

"I'm planning to keep almost everybody. We lost some guys already, but the core will remain the same for next season", Blanc continued. "We'll possibly make little changes, but nothing big."

Blanc also commented on Dani Alves, who has been linked to PSG for a long time now. "He is one of the best players in his position, certainly".

We reported a couple of days ago that Marquinhos and Barcelona have met in Brazil and agreed on everything, including on a five-year contract. The next step would be trying to convince PSG about the transfer, but it seems like that won't happen anytime soon, as Blanc is decisively confident that the 20-year-old is staying.

Oh dear, this keeps going.

What do you think, Barça fans? Should the team keep going after Marcos or should they go after someone else now that the deal seems difficult to happen?
