Barcelona to sign Rakitic for €20m - Goal.com
Barcelona have tied up a £16.2m (€20m) deal to sign Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitic from Sevilla. The 26-year-old was one of the standout performers in La Liga last season as Sevilla finished in fifth place and he helped the Andalusians claim the Europa League crown with victory over Benfica in May.

World Cup with a Barça tinge | FC Barcelona
On Thursday the 2014 World Cup will kick-off. As in previous editions, Barça will be heavily represented, as 13 of the 25 Barça 2013/14 first team squad will take part. They are: Pique, Jordi Alba, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc, and Pedro (with Spain), Alves and Neymar (Brazil), Messi and Mascherano (Argentina), Alexis (Chile) and Song (Cameroun).

Eusebio Sacristán signed his contract extension with Barça B this afternoon. He will remain at the Club until June 30 of 2015. The signing ceremony was attended by the sporting vice-president, Jordi Mestre, and the football director Andoni Zubizarreta.

Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani has said he is to end his association with Malaga after bemoaning a perceived lack of respect. Marca reports that Al-Thani made the announcement on his Twitter account and has previously issued such threats. He had already withdrawn funding for the club, who were banned from Europe last season for financial irregularities.
