Life is tough, and really serious. It is difficult at times, and we need some reasons to laugh. Well, we got one.
According to multiple reports from England and Spain, Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi allegedly asked former Blaugrana Cesc Fàbregas about a move to Arsenal FC before he decided to ultimately extend his contract with Barça. The rumours say that Messi loved the possibility of moving to London, and that he is a fan of Arsenal's manager, Arséne Wenger.
Leo -- again, always according to rumours -- apparently planned a move to the Gunners with Fàbregas, in a blockbuster deal that would change the course of football history forever. Messi's motivation would be to take on the challenge of leading Arsenal back to glory, winning the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, it never really worked. Fàbregas decided to ignore their offers and joined London rival Chelsea FC. As for Messi, he inked a one-year extension with the Blaugrana that guarantees him as the highest paid footballer in the world until 2019.
Also, it would be a little hard for Arsenal to pay Leo's full buyout clause, of more than €230 million. That's almost what the Gunners have spent in the last twenty years.
But, as a consolation prize, Arsenal got Alexis Sánchez. Seriously now, that's pretty good.
Not seriously now: MESSI AT ARSENAL? A FAN OF WENGER?
