The Renato Guy Daily - August 27, 2014

Haters gonna hate these daily pills of B.S.

Welcome to your daily off-topic thread at Barça Blaugranes. I'm a little busy today and there's more stuff to post at this site, so let's get some sports news and other B.S. topics:

Angel Di Maria moves to Manchester United, breaks British transfer record - | Really not surprising. Real Madrid will never change its policy of mistreating stars by buying a three-year younger version of whatever that star is. I'm happy for Di María, who gets a bigger role at United. If Van Gaal is smart, a quartet of Mata, Di María, Rooney and van Persie could be deadly. Let's see how it goes.

How Clayton Kershaw compares to the greatest pitchers in history - | This kid is fantastic. I love Kershaw, is my favorite baseball player next to Mike Trout. Trust me, he will be the greatest pitcher off all-time when it's all said and done. His curveball is sweet.

Dana White found to be in 'breach' of UFC 'regulatory protocol' for removing judge at UFC Fight Night 48 - | Can't play God all the time, Dana. Sometimes you think you're bigger than everything. Settle down a bit.

Timberwolves owner rips Kevin Love following trade to Cleveland - | I remember something similar to that... Oh, it's when LeBron left Cleveland! I don't see how the Wolves owner can be mad, he got FREAKING ANDREW WIGGINS!

U.S. Open bracket 2014 update: Serena Williams, Roger Federer advance to Round 2 - | I watched both matches, and both were dominant. I think they're the favorites to win, especially because Federer's road to the final is a fairly easy one. His legs could be fresh for the last game for the first time ever. And the girl Serena beat last night needs my diet.

There's really good football today. Here's the matches to look for (all times CET):

20:45 - Arsenal vs Besiktas (UEFA Champions League)
20:45 - Athletic Bilbao vs Napoli (UEFA Champions League)
20:45 - Bayer Leverkusen vs FC Copenhagen (UEFA Champions League)
12:30 - Cruzeiro vs Santa Rita (Brazil Cup)

That's it for today, guys. Love to hear from you about anything I said (or missed) in today's "The Renato Guy Daily". If you don't know why that's the title, just look at my name. I'm trying to make it easy for you. See ya tomorrooooooow!
