Neymar! The Brazilian was imperious form off the bench tonight, inspiring FC Barcelona to an important 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao at the Camp Nou, a win that saw the Blaugrana extend their 100% record under new coach Luis Enrique. Not only that, but following Atletico Madrid's 2-1 win over Real Madrid in El Derbi Madrileno, FC Barcelona are now six points clear of their eternal rivals after just three matches, while Atleti remain two points behind courtesy of their draw in Jornada 1.
The scoreline itself was somewhat misleading; from start to finish, Barcelona were dominant at the Camp Nou and if not for some heroics from Athletic goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz, it surely would have been worse for the visiting Basques. Factor in some odd decisions from referee David Fernandez Borbalan and it really could have been more comfortable, but as far as matches against top four clubs go, I'm perfectly happy with a 2-0 win, especially given the calibre of players left to return to the starting line-up.
Given 90 minutes, Neymar could have probably had a hat-trick, while there were chances for the likes of Munir and Pedro that we just know Luis Suarez will bury. Lionel Messi could have played better, even if he did set up both goals -- which is terrifying for the rest of La Liga.
From Ivan Rakitic (holy Jesus, Ivan is good) to Martin Montoya, via Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, everyone played well and we definitely deserved those three points. Relive the win, or catch up on the acton with the full highlights package above.
