Barcelona superstar Neymar Jr. is certainly the hot topic of the weekend. After scoring four goals in a sensational performance on Saturday night against Rayo Vallecano, the Brazilian showed why he's one of the top players in football, and proved he can take the role of Lionel Messi and lead Barça to wins in the Argentinian's absence.
Neymar was also the main target of the summer transfer window's rumor mill, when the report of a gigantic offer from Manchester United came to light. But he refused to accept the proposal, choosing to stay with the Catalan giants. After the rumors started, many expected that a contract extension would be announced soon. But that hasn't happened yet, and that is causing some concern to the Blaugrana fanbase.
But the Brazilian is telling everyone to literally "relax", and that he wants to re-sign with his current club when the time is right:
"The renewal is on its way. I have many, many years left on my contract here. Relax, I will sign an extension. The fans can calm down, I'm staying."

Good, Ney. We kind of wish you can stay after what you did with Rayo. Speaking of that, Neymar also spoke about his performance on Saturday, and his new role as a leading man during Messi's time off.
"Yes, it was a historical night that I will remember for the rest of my life. I would like to congratulate the whole team for having a great performance."
Finally, Neymar chose not to go on length, but did touch on the tough news that came out last week, with his former club Santos requesting a six-month ban because of his controversial transfer in 2013. The Brazilian team wants €58 million in fines plus a long punishment, and that hurts Neymar.
"I don't want to talk about it., it's part of the past now. Obviously I'm very sad, but it's better if I don't talk about it."
