In a shocking turn of events, Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign a winger in the January transfer windows, one of the biggest necessities in the squad after the departure of Pedro Rodríguez. And, despite plenty of rumors, it won't be Celta Vigo star Nolito.
According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport and Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana have just agreed a three-year commitment with Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi. The 30-year-old has his contract set to expire next summer, and the Catalan giants will only pay a slim €4 million fee for the player's signing.
The Italian outlet is reporting that Lavezzi's agent was at the Catalan capital last week to work out on a contract for the Argentina international, and the agreement happened quite fast. PSG was dying to get any type of profit for the player, and they will indeed get a few millions.
If the reports are accurate, Lavezzi, who is close friends with Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano, will join the Blaugranes in January and will be the third signing alongside Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal to be registed in the winter signing period.
I did not see that coming. At all. WOW.
