The bad news continue for Barcelona.
Just 17 minutes into the Champions League match against BATE Borisov on Tuesday, Blaugrana midfielder Sergi Roberto was forced to leave the game with what appears to be a hamstring injury. Ivan Rakitic came into his place.
This is horrible news since Roberto had finally become a true option in the squad. He struggled to find minutes for two years, and then was used as a right-back this preseason. He then started to gain confidence and improve his game, which also positively affected his deeply criticized performances as a midfielder.
Roberto is the third midfielder currently missing time with injury, alongside Andrés Iniesta, also out with a hamstring problem, and Rafinha Alcântra, possibly out for the season with a knee injury.
