After a successful midweek excursion to Belarus, where the Blaugrana registered their second consecutive win in the UEFA Champions League against BATE Borisov to seize control of Group E, Luis Enrique's side return to La Liga action tomorrow, when they will host SD Eibar at the Camp Nou. In terms of budget, Eibar rank as one of the smallest sides in La Liga, although they haven't let a lack of funds stand in their way thus far this season, as they currently stand in seventh place, with 13 points from eight matches.
The plucky little side rank well ahead of their Basque Country counterparts, traditional heavyweights Athletic Club and Real Sociedad, primarily because of their impressive consistency and disciplined philosophy. Eibar have lost just once in all competitions this season, a 0-2 home reverse against Atletico Madrid. As such, Eibar boast one of the few remaining undefeated records, alongside the likes of Real Madrid and Celta Vigo, among others.
In other words, this is going to be a tough match for FC Barcelona. Here's how I see the lineup from Luis Enrique headed into tomorrow's match;
Alves - Pique - Mascherano - Alba
Rakitic - Busquets - Iniesta
Munir - Suarez - Neymar
Leaving the absence of Messi aside, that would represent our strongest lineup, an accurate representation of just how tough this match is going to be. Javier Mascherano might shift into midfield, if Andres Iniesta isn't fit enough to make his return, which would probably give way for Jeremy Mathieu to make a start in central defense. Up top, all eyes will be on Neymar after his sensational four-goal haul last weekend against Rayo Vallecano.
For the visitors, while they've impressed en route to their current seventh place standing, they have managed just one win in their past seven matches, and this trend could continue tomorrow against the reigning champions. Here's how they might lineup tomorrow:
Capa - Pantic - Dos Santos - Junca
Garcia - Escalante
Saul - Adrian - Inui
What do you think guys, how will Enrique pick the team tomorrow?
