The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana open up their Copa del Rey campaign on Wednesday night with a trip to Villanueva de La Serena to face third division contenders Villanovense. It's expected to be an easy game, so Luis Enrique made gigantic changes to the squad.

None of the biggest stars of the team has been called up. Gerard Piqué, Andrés Iniesta (who is healthy), Neymar, Luis Suárez and Javier Mascherano all stay home as mostly reserves and Barça B youngsters have received the call for the opening game of the new Spanish Cup season. The only true first team stars are Ivan Rakitic and Jordi Alba. Rafinha Alcântara and Lionel Messi are the absentees due to injury. Sergi Roberto is also out with a small groin problem.

These are the sixteen players named by Enrique for the game:

Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 25. Jordi Masip

Defenders: 2. Douglas Pereira, 6. Dani Alves, 15. Marc Bartra, 18. Jordi Alba, 21. Adriano, 23. Thomas Vermaelen, 24. Jérémy Mathieu

Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, Sergi Samper, Gerard Gumbau, Wilfried Kaptoum (Barça B)

Forwards: 17. Munir El-Haddadi, 19. Sandro Ramírez, Aitor Cantalapiedra (Barça B)

Projected Starting Lineup (4-3-3):

Stegen; Douglas, Bartra, Vermaelen, Adriano; Samper, Rakitic, Gumbau; Aitor, Sandro, Munir

Bench: Masip, Alves, Alba, Mathieu, Kaptoum

The match is on Wednesday, at 20:30 CET, and you can join us to follow and comment all the action.
