The Argentina international has been training with the Catalan side's second team this week as he continues his recovery from a knee injury sustained against Las Palmas on September 26. That initially put his inclusion in this weekend's big game at the Bernabeu - live on Sky Sports - in doubt, but many around him seem to think that Messi will be ready.

Barça dominated the ball from the offset and had a number of good chances in the first half to take the lead. Campins came closest to opening the scoring on 38 minutes when his shot, from a Maxi Rolón cross, got the better of Vito in the opposition goal but was denied by the woodwork. Grimaldo (5’), Gumbau (17’) and Kaptoum (18’) all had good efforts on goal but to no avail as the first period ended goalless.
