Veteran striker Ruben Castro's fifth goal in six games earned Real Betis a 1-0 La Liga victory over Malaga. The 34-year-old coolly finished in the 64th minute to end Betis' three-game winless run and move them into the top half of the table.

Strugglers Levante draw with Deportivo to earn first point under new boss - ESPN FC
Levante came from behind to draw 1-1 with Deportivo La Coruna and earn their first Primera Division point under new coach Rubi. Lucas Perez had given the visitors the lead midway through the first half against the run of play, but Levante's energetic approached paid off after half-time, with Victor Camarasa levelling with a free-kick.
