FC Barcelona v Villarreal CF: Neymar and Suárez sink Yellow Submarine, 3–0 | FC Barcelona
The unstoppable one-two punch of Neymar Jr. and Luis Suárez has become the bane of defences everywhere. The duo erupted for all three of FC Barcelona’s goals in the second-half on Sunday afternoon, flummoxing visiting Villarreal in stunning fashion and sending the Catalans to a 3–0 victory at Camp Nou.

Not a bad day for FC Barcelona. The 3–0 victory over Villarreal handed the Catalans three very huge points, allowing them to become the new leaders in the Spanish First Division. The win at Camp Nou, combined with Real Madrid's 3–2 defeat at the Sánchez Pizjuan in Sevilla later on Sunday evening broke what had been a first-place tie going into the weekend.

The Brazilian striker scored Barça’s first and third goals against Villarreal, the latter of which was nothing short of spectacular.

"That the team is growing and improving in key areas of the game is obvious," said Luis Enrique following the 3–0 victory over Villarreal. Although there have been clear signs of this improvement, the coach says his team is still not in top form: "The most important thing is to continue improving, but until February and March it doesn’t mean anything."

The Brazilian first played Suarez down the left wing, then raced 50 yards to take the return pass, flicked the ball over Villarreal defender Jaume Costa, pirouetted and volleyed the dropping ball into the net from 15 yards.
