Following on from their impressive midweek UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg victory over English Premier League champions Manchester City at the Etihad Arena, FC Barcelona will be searching for another away victory. This time, Andalusia is their destination as they prepare to square off against lowly Granada CF at the Nuevo Los Carmenes.
Abel Resino's side are struggling for form at present, but remain incredibly difficult to defeat, especially in their own backyard. For one reason or another, their defense is miserly at home as compared to its porous form away and that means that Barcelona might be in for a tough afternoon.
With Gerard Pique suspended, Luis Enrique was forced into one change from the squad that lost to Malaga CF last weekend; Montoya the replacement for Pique. However, we do expect that there will be a few more changes to the starting XI, particularly with a Copa del Rey semi-final to think about on Wednesday against Villarreal CF.
These are the eighteen men named by Lucho for the match:
Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Claudio Bravo
Defenders: 2. Martin Montoya, 14. Javier Mascherano, 15. Marc Bartra, 18. Jordi Alba, 21. Adriano Correia, 22. Dani Alves, 24. Jérémy Mathieu
Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 6. Xavi Hernández, 8. Andres Iniesta, 12. Rafinha Alcântara
Forwards: 7. Pedro, 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 11. Neymar Jr.
Expected Starting Lineup (4-3-3):
Bravo; Alves, Bartra, Mathieu, Alba; Mascherano, Rakitic, Xavi; Messi, Suarez, Pedro
