And then there were eight. While in a literal sense, FC Barcelona are but one step closer to the final in Berlin, it seems as though in a figurative sense, we took a giant leap towards Germany with our two-legged victory over Manchester City. After all, one of our so-called main rivals for the title and traditional "bogey team" Chelsea FC were eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain, while a number of other strong teams were also given the boot: Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are but two examples that spring to mind.

All the while, a few of the other contenders struggled through their ties -- Real Madrid could have easily been eliminated against FC Schalke 04 a week ago, while Bayern Munich couldn't actually score against Shakhtar Donetsk until they had a man advantage. Alongside Juventus FC, the Blaugrana were the only team to progress to the final eight after winning both home and away, a clear indication that this team should be considered amongst the favourites to lift the trophy on June 6.

However, before we can begin dreaming of glory in the UEFA Champions League, we must find out who fate pairs us with in the next round. The draw for the quarter-finals is scheduled to begin at 12:00 CET, with live streaming available on the UEFA website closer to the time.

The question is: who will it be? Will we have to square against our eternal rivals, Real Madrid in an El Clasico quarter-final? How about a replay of last season's clash with Atletico Madrid? Maybe a reunion with Pep Guardiola and his Bayern Munich? Heck, maybe we'll welcome Cristian Tello back to the Camp Nou with Porto?
