The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly from El Clasico

Some quick thoughts on our 2-1 La Liga win over Real Madrid at the Camp Nou

The Good

  • Mathieu owned his airspace.
  • Piqué owned the rest.
  • Suárez's touch for the goal - not to mention his constant danger up front.
  • Xavi and Busquets' contribution to the stability of the last ten minutes.
  • Three points in a critical match.

The Bad

  • Neymar's wastefulness in possession.
  • Neymar's wastefulness in attack.
  • Being dominated in midfield... by Real Madrid... at the Camp Nou.
  • A 55 minute period in which Enrique gets lost in the headlights of yet another Clasico.
  • The total lack of a leader from midfield up until Messi appeared in the second half.
  • The absence of organisation, pattern, or tactics in the first half.
  • Needing Madrid to tire before getting back into the match.

The Ugly

  • The referees' double standard for what constitutes a foul.
