It's Champions League week! Barcelona will begin their quarter-final clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night, and coach Luis Enrique has released an early squad list for the game.
The boss is taking all available players on the squad with him to enjoy a trip to Paris. 21 first-teamers, plus Barça B's Munir El-Haddadi are going to travel on Tuesday morning. They'll practice on Tuesday night, and Lucho will eventually cut four players to form his definitive 18-man squad.
The only two players not traveling to France's capital are Dani Alves and Thomas Vermaelen. The Brazilian is suspended for yellow card accumulation, and he's also dealing with a sprained ankle sustained on Saturday's draw with Sevilla. Vermaelen is targeting a late-April return, but the medical services haven't given him the green light, so he'll stay in Barcelona to continue his long rehab process.
These are the 22 men named by Lucho for the match:
Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Claudio Bravo, 25. Jordi Masip
Defenders: 2. Martín Montoya, 3. Gerard Piqué, 14. Javier Mascherano, 15. Marc Bartra, 16. Douglas Pereira, 18. Jordi Alba, 21. Adriano Correia, 24. Jérémy Mathieu
Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 6. Xavi Hernández, 8. Andrés Iniesta, 12. Rafinha Alcântara, 20. Sergi Roberto
Forwards: 7. Pedro Rodríguez, 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 11. Neymar Jr., 31. Munir El-Haddadi
