Marc-André ter Stegen is getting ready to return to the goalposts. The 22-year-old Barcelona goalkeeper has been chosen by coach Luis Enrique to be the Blaugrana's starting goalie for all cup games, in the Spanish Cup or the UEFA Champions League. He will face Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, trying to continue to show why he's expected to be Barça's number one goalkeeper in the future.
He conceded an interview to a German newspaper on Monday, and he talked about his experience at the Catalan club, and whether or not he thinks of himself as a superstar. Check out his answers:
"No one puts a red carpet in front of you here. You have to work hard to earn your spot. It would be foolish of me to think I would be the undeniable number one choice from day one, but that's the goal I'm going to work for.
"It's tough having to watch all Liga games from the bench, but I know that I'll be the number one goalkeeper in the future, so that keeps me calm and helps me concentrate on the opportunities I do have.
"I feel very comfortable at this club and I want to spend a long time here. Although I'm not the number one guy, and that's a tough situation for me, I'm waiting for my shot.
"Superstar? No way, I don't think of myself as a superstar. I'm not Justin Timberlake or Kanye West. Those are superstars to me. I'm a regular person, that's all

Couple of things on that interview:
1. I love how ter Stegen doesn't lose his confidence. He knows how good he is and that he will be the overwhelming choice for the goalkeeping spot next season, especially if he has a spectacular run in the upcoming Champions League rounds. (Maybe saving a couple of penalties in the UCL final?)
2. You might no be Timberlake or Kanye, but you do have a babe to call yours. That's superstar stuff.
