Barcelona manager Luis Enrique: "We played a spectacular game"

Barcelona took a giant step towards a place in the UEFA Champions League semifinal with a remarkable performance and a dominant 3-1 over Paris Saint-Germain, breaking the French 9-year, 33-game unbeaten streak at home in European competitions in spectacular fashion.

Coach Luis Enrique was truly delighted after the match, and his post-game conference reflected how happy he was with the result. Check out his answers:

"We have seen everything in football and our target is to win the return match and steer clear of any problems … We played a spectacular game in attack and defence. We were very aware of what we had to do in all phases of the game and created danger, were solid in defence and all-round it was a very complete performance.

Open match

"PSG will have their suspended players back for the return leg, so I’m sure it’ll be a difficult match."

"The tie is not decided. We shouldn’t fall into the trap of thinking it’s all over, because it isn’t."

"I would have preferred them not to have score and we weren’t all that lucky because the ball deflected off one of our players. 3–0 would have been the perfect result."

Freedom of movement

"The strikers have the freedom to do what they think is best in attack. They are intelligent, top-notch players."

"Luis Suárez scores like only a centre forward can score. But I would highlight all of the players today. When they play so well and with such intensity, it only reinforces our idea."

Injury to Andrés Iniesta

"Andrés took a very nasty knock, and although the team doctors will need to examine him back in Barcelona, it doesn’t look very serious and that’s good news for us."
