Jérémy Mathieu cleared to play, set to return against Bayern Munich

Very good news for Barcelona as they travel to Germany to play Bayern Munich in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal.

With the club releasing the squad list for Tuesday's clash, it was pleasant to see Jérémy Mathieu's name among the defenders. The French center-back suffered a minor Achilles inury that forced him out of the last two matches. But on Sunday morning's training session, Mathieu did not have any setbacks and practiced normally with the rest of the team, which confirmed his presence on the matchup in two days.

While the team coped well with his absence on the first leg, Mathieu is going to be fundamental on Tuesday. Unlike last week, Bayern is going all in on offense trying to overcome a 3-0 deficit, and a tall, strong presence on the Blaugrana's back-line will be huge, and that will be provided by the return of number 24.

It's up to Luis Enrique to make the decision on whether or not to start Mathieu, but just to have him on the squad is already very important. Truly great news. By the way, isn't it amazing how healthy Barça players are right now, on the biggest moment of the season?
