As Barcelona begins preparations for the Spanish Cup Final, next Saturday against Athletic Bilbao, the team is still uncertain about the status of one of its best players. Luis Suárez still hasn't been able to train with the team since being ruled out of the Atlético Madrid match, and he is still not cleared for the Copa del Rey decider.
The striker suffered a left hamstring strain in the second leg of the Champions League semifinal against Bayern Munich. His status was doubtful for the remainder of the season, and it still is as of right now, according to the club. He'll continue to do physiotherapy and work separately during the week, and there are serious doubts among the coaching and medical staff about his availability for not only the Bilbao match, but also the Champions League Final against Juventus, 12 days from now.
Suárez, however, remains optimistic that the therapy will work and he will be on the pitch for the two most important matches of his first Blaugrana campaign. The Uruguayan has had a sensational year alongside the two other members of the 'MSN' trio, and the team needs him for the biggest games of the season.
Please get better, Luisito.
