Rafa Benitez named new coach of Real Madrid | Sky Sports
Rafa Benitez has been confirmed as the new coach of Real Madrid on a three-year contract and will be introduced to the media at midday today. The 55-year-old Spaniard takes over from Carlo Ancelotti, who departed the Bernabeu last week just 12 months after guiding the club to their 10th European Cup success.

Benitez also faces the more immediate task of winning over the players, many of whom publicly backed Ancelotti during the final weeks of his reign. Mourinho found the power of the Real Madrid dressing room to his distaste and rancorous divisions were the order of the day under the Portuguese.

Callum Douglas, a 16-year-old English striker on the books at Elche, is to have a trial at Premier League Newcastle. The Daily Mail reports that Douglas will train with the Magpies after catching the eye for Los Franjiverdes’ youth team, for whom he netted 45 goals this season.

West Ham in talks with Unai Emery | Sky Sports
West Ham are to hold talks with Sevilla manager Unai Emery in the next 48 hours over their vacant manager’s position, according to Sky sources. Emery has won plaudits and trophies in equal measure in recent seasons, his stock further enhanced after his side retained the Europa League with victory over Dnipro last week. The 43-year-old is also understood to be on Napoli's radar after the Serie A club lost Rafa Benitez to Real Madrid.

David Moyes stays, Danny Ings not a target, say Real Sociedad | Football News | Sky Sports
Real Sociedad have quashed speculation that David Moyes will leave the club this summer and return to coaching in England. The Basque outfit also played down the possibility that Burnley forward Danny Ings, a player Moyes would like to have in his squad next season, will sign for La Real.
