Real Madrid have once again topped Forbes' list of the world's most valuable sports teams, while Manchester United have dropped to fifth. Despite struggling in La Liga and failing to retain their Champions League crown last season, the 10-time European Cup winners head a list dominated by American sports for the third consecutive year.

The Spanish goalkeeper is just six months into an 18-month contract with Louis van Gaal's side, but his days at the club appear to be numbered after he was excluded from the squad that traveled to the U.S. on Monday to take part in the preseason International Champions Cup tournament.

Juan Carlos Valeron has signed a new one-year contract with Las Palmas, the newly promoted club have confirmed. The 40-year-old midfielder helped the team from Gran Canaria win promotion back to the Primera Liga after a 13-year absence last season.
