Barcelona striker Luis Suárez spoke at length with BarçaTV and talked about his feelings as he begins his first full preseason with the club.
As he gets more and more adapted to the group, the Uruguayan continued to praise his teammates, the organization and the fans for accepting him and being so humble. El Pistolero also talked about Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal, the two signings that are not able to play until January because of the transfer ban imposed to the club by FIFA. They face a similar situation to the one Suárez went through last year, when he was only able to play in November because of another FIFA ban, this time directly to the player because of the infamous biting incident at the World Cup.
Suárez is obviously sympathetic to the struggle the two new players are going through, and he is eager to have both playing alongside him.
Here's a few highlights of his interview. You can check out the full video here.
"Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal are players with a lot of talent and they showed that at their past clubs. They have come to add their bit to the squad and it's a shame that they have to wait until January.
"It's hard to adapt, it's a strange feeling. Coming to training every day not being able to play is odd. They're aware of that. They just have to give there all, even if it can't be on the pitch for now."
"The feelings that we have are good. We're still playing in the same way, even though we are still lacking players. What's important is to find your rhythm for the new season."
