Pep Guardiola is not done when it comes to signing players from Barcelona after leaving the club. First it was Thiago Alcântara, now it's Adama Traoré.
According to a report from Catalan radio RAC1, the legendary Blaugrana manager and current Bayern Munich coach is absolutely convinced that Adama is a perfect addition to the squad. After signing Brazilian winger Douglas Costa, Guardiola wants one more pacey player who can break down defenses on 1-on-1 duels, and the 19-year-old Blaugrana seems like an obvious choice for Pep.
Adama is reportedly not willing to play the third division with Barça B, and first team coach Luis Enrique has not indicated he'll use the player this season. Traoré didn't even travel with the squad for the preseason tour in the United States, which is filled with B-teamers like Munir and Sandro, along with Halilovic and Gumbau. Adama was widely considered to be in that group of promising players from the youth squad, but the coaching staff does not seem to agree.
The report states that Pep and Adama already have come to terms on a move to Germany, and now it's up to the teams. There's a €15 million buyout fee on his contract, and with the verbal agreement , it is now very likely that Bayern will indeed pay the clause.
However, sources told Barça Blaugranes that Ariedo Braida is considering a loan counter-offer. He still sees potential on the youngster, and he doesn't want to regret selling him so low right now. After talking to Luis Enrique, Braida will have a final decision on which offer to accept, but it looks like Adama's immediate future is with Guardiola in Germany.
