FC Barcelona News: 31 July 2015; Almost Full Squad Trains, Roma Could Hijack Gerson Deal

Lionel Messi, Javier Mascherano, Dani Alves and Neymar Jr completed their first day of the 2015/16 preseason this afternoon at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The four players trained under the orders of assistant coaches Rafel Pol and Edu Pons.

There was another Barça training session on Friday morning at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The squad is now almost fully complete, with Javier Mascherano, Leo Messi, Dani Alves and Neymar Jr there after returning on Thursday and doing their medicals in the morning and training separately in the evening with Rafel Pol and Edu Pons. This morning they re-joined the rest of their team-mates.

Despite the likes of Josep Maria Bartomeu and Gerard Pique publicly criticising the punishment, AS claims it has received confirmation from both the club and governing body that an appeal will not be launched.

Roma have Gerson deal? | Football Italia
The Brazilian appears set to join the Giallorossi for an agreed fee of €15m, according to Spanish outlet El Mundo Deportivo. Barcelona paid €4m to have transfer precedence on the player and are still in the race. Fluminense have already informed them of their agreement with Roma.
