Barcelona is very close to losing the chance of winning six titles in 2015 due to a 4-0 crushing defeat in the first leg of the Spanish Supercup against Athletic Bilbao, but the club captain has not given up.
It's understandable and obvious that Barça players are trying to lift their own spirits and give themselves a reason to try a miracle on Monday, but it is still good to see that they're looking for some confidence. One of those players is Andrés Iniesta, who played in the second half and had the best seat in the house to watch his team get obliterated by the Basque side. But even after facing such a tough defeat, the 31-year-old still believes that history can be made.
"We leave [San Mamés] thinking we can turn it around. It's difficult, but not impossible. We believe we can do it."
"We made [too] many mistakes and it hurt us. When things don't go the way you want, you have to worry about improving so it does not happen again."
It's a really difficult time. Let's hope these guys can turn this faith into inspiration to at least give their best effort. But if the captain believes... well, let's do it!
