Louis Van Gaal is a tough personality, and that might cost him a key transfer.
A report from The Guardian says that Barcelona forward Pedro Rodríguez, widely rumored to be joining the Red Devils this season, is allegedly reconsidering his move because of the Dutchman's clashes with two Spanish players who are close friends with Pedro.
Van Gaal has shown the door to legendary Blaugrana goalkeeper and dear friends with Pedro, Victor Valdés. LVG clearly stated: "If a player does not follow my philosophy, there is only the way out". Valdés is currently looking for a new team to go, and there is no chance that his issues with Van Gaal get solved.
Another Spanish international, superstar goalkeeper David De Gea, is rumored to be negotiating with Real Madrid, so Van Gaal simply decided to leave him out of United's two Premier League games so far. The coach says it's an agreement with the player, but the situation isn't clear and has only contributed to the speculations of De Gea moving away from Old Trafford.
Those problems have opened Pedro's eyes; according to the report, moving away from Camp Nou is not as good of a idea as it used to be, and since the English side has not matched the release clause on Pedro's contract, Barça is also reluctant to accept the offer and strike a deal.
It's all rumors so far, but Pedro's departure looks less and less likely.
