Jordi Alba expected to return on Sunday

Barcelona has a lot of problems for the game against Athletic Bilbao, especially in its defense with the suspension of Gerard Piqué. But maybe there's one piece of good news.

According to reports from Catalunya, full-back Jordi Alba, who did not play the two Supercups against Sevilla and Athletic due to a hamstring strain, is set to return this Sunday for Barça's La Liga debut at San Mamés. His recovery process is going faster than expected, he is feeling good and there is a good chance he's cleared to play on the weekend.

The other left-back, Adriano Correia, is also recovering nicely from a groin problem, and could be available for selection as well. New signing Arda Turan, who isn't available to play, is also close to full fitness. Neymar Jr. is already recovered from his mumps, but he's not expected for Sunday yet. It's more likely that his debut happens on Matchday 2 against Málaga.

Without Piqué and Mathieu, both suspended, Luis Enrique had tons of issues figuring out his defensive scheme, but one of the most important players on his team is set to help. Good news, Alba.
