As we reported on Saturday, Barcelona have reached an agreement with Villarreal for the transfer of midfielder Denis Suárez, who was playing for Sevilla last season on loan as part of the Ivan Rakitic deal. The 21-year-old has already joined his new club and will be available for the next La Liga game after the international break.
A few more details, from the club website:
The player spent last season on loan at Sevilla as part of the same deal that brought Ivan Rakitic to the Camp Nou. Suárez was originally due to stay in Andalusia for two years, through to the summer of 2016, but is now headed for Castellon, with Barça maintaining the option to rebuy the player at the end of the season. The Catalan club also holds onto a second option to repurchase him at the end of the 2016/17 season, and a right to first refusal should it not exercise that right.
Barça will only have to pay €3 million to exercise that buy-back clause, which is a very low price on a talent with extreme potential. After struggling a bit to find a spot under Unai Emery in the Seville side this season, Suárez will probably get a bigge role with his new team. Hopefull he can develop into a great footballer and can star at Barça in the future.
