If you were waiting for the official kit numbers to buy a new Barcelona shirt for this season, you got it.
The club announced on Wednesday the shirt numbers picked by each player for next season, with a few changes. After being promoted from Barça B, Sandro Ramírez and Munir El-Haddadi got first team numbers, 16 and 17. Douglas Pereira, the original number 16, inherited Martín Montoya's #2 jersey.
Perhaps the most surprising change is to Dani Alves. The Brazilian full-back used the number 22 for the last few seasons in honor of Blaugrana legend Eric Abidal. With the departure of other club legend, eternal captain Xavi Hernández, Dani also decided to pay homage and will wear number 6 next season. All of the other players stuck to their numbers.
Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan, the two new Blaugrana signings, are not allowed to pick a number since they are not registered as Barcelona players due to the FIFA transfer ban. They'll have to wait until January, but the available numbers for them so far are 19 and 22, unless Pedro and Adriano leave.
