AS have reported that German media outlet Sport Bild have linked Barça with a January 2016 move for Arsenal forward Theo Walcott as a replacement for the recently-departed Pedro Rodríguez. Bild claim Walcott has been sounded out over a potential move to Camp Nou and that he would welcome such a move. Having recently extended his contract with Arsenal to 2019, the ball would be in Arsenal's court on this matter.
Walcott has been linked with Barça multiple times over the years. Whether this has any truth in it - which I highly doubt - is highly debatable, to say the least. The prospect of having Walcott as a squad option does warrant some consideration though, for example with Messi having been quoted in the past - "I can only speak from experience but Walcott was one of the most dangerous players I have ever played against."
Such a move would be interesting, but could be a setback in the development of the likes of Sandro Ramírez and Munir El Haddadi, not to mention the "potential buyback players" Gerard Deulofeu and Adama Traoré.
