Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is to miss Wednesday's La Liga trip to Athletic Bilbao, with the defender still sidelined due to a shoulder injury. Ramos dislocated his left shoulder in last week's 4-0 Champions League Group A win at home to Shakhtar Donetsk and missed Saturday's narrow 1-0 win over Granada at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Antoine Griezmann scores twice to carry Atletico to win - ESPN FC
Antoine Griezmann continued his rampant goalscoring form by netting twice as Atletico Madrid beat Getafe 2-0 at the Vicente Calderon. The Frenchman showed his striker's instinct to give the hosts the lead with just four minutes played and then finished off a pass from Jackson Martinez to strike again in the last minute of the second half.

Espanyol 1-0 Valencia - ESPN FC
Further pressure was piled on Valencia coach Nuno Espirito Santo as his side were beaten 1-0 at Espanyol, with Victor Alvarez's first-half goal proving the difference. Los Che made a bright start to the game but were lucky not to concede more goals as the game went on and were grateful to young goalkeeper Jaume Domenech for keeping the damage to a single goal.

Granada 0-3 Real Sociedad - ESPN FC
Imanol Agirretxe scored a hat-trick as Real Sociedad recorded their first win of the season 3-0 at Granada on Tuesday evening. The 28-year-old forward put the visitors ahead in the seventh minute when he got behind David Zurutuza's cross and struck the ball into the bottom-right corner of the net, out of reach of Granada goalkeeper Andres Fernandez.
