RC Celta de Vigo v FC Barcelona: Beaten at Balaídos (4-1) | FC Barcelona
Barça lost their one hundred per cent record in the 2015/16 Liga season, and also their place at the top of the table, as Celta continued their extraordinary start to the campaign with a 4-1 defeat of the European champions. It was a disappointing night for the Catalans, but all credit has to go to Eduardo Berizzo and his side, who look set to be a force to reckon with this season.

Losing 4-1 to Celta Vigo will have been bad enough for Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, but the result must have stung even more knowing that it was one made in Barca -- his Barca. Eduardo Berizzo's side produced a great team display, but within it were the requisite outstanding individual performances, and two of those had a distinct Blaugrana tinge. La Masia shone on Wednesday night. It just happened to shine for the wrong team.

Luis Enrique gracious in defeat | FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique Martínez accepted that the best team had won as he faced the press after the 4-1 defeat at Balaídos. "This game goes to show just how difficult La Liga is" he said. "What decided this game is how well Celta played. It was highly effective football from them. It was very good.

Even though we do think that we lost by a much bigger margin than we deserved … We were better than them in the first half. We were more intense. But they scored goals at key moments."

Ex-La Masia attacker Nolito started the scoring at Balaidos by curling in his fifth of the season. Aspas then took over by twice racing behind a flat-footed defence to coolly score. Neymar's late strike counted for little then when Celta sub John Guidetti slammed in his first La Liga goal after another breakdown by the Barca back line, which was not at all stiffened by Gerard Pique and Dani Alves returning to the starting XI.

Balaídos honoured Rafinha before kick-off this evening in Vigo. FC Barcelona were playing Celta, the team the Brazilian played for in the 2013/14 season, so both sets off players have reason to wish him a swift recovery from the serious injury he suffered away to AS Roma, and on which surgery was performed this week.

Rival watch: Wins for Bayer Leverkusen and Las Palmas | FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona’s 4-1 defeat at Celta means that the Galicians have moved ahead of them in the league table with 13 points, where they share the lead with Real Madrid and Villarreal, who also won on Wednesday night. Karim Benzema scored a brace either side of Sabin’s 67th minute goal for Athletic Bilbao as Real Madrid won 2-1 in the Basque Country, and a Tissone own goal was what it took for Villarreal to take three points from their trip to Malaga.

Maxi Rolón tops the charts this week with his goal for the B team against Olot. The podium is rounded off by Jordi Mbola from the U19B side and Nils Mortimer from the U16B side.
