Barcelona is looking at quite a long spell without Lionel Messi. Or maybe they're not, according to one of his doctors.
Speaking to Argentine media on Sunday, Argentina national team main doctor, Donato Villani looked very optimistic about the recovery process of the Blaugrana and Albiceleste superstar. According to Villani, Messi's work ethic and will to come back will speed his rehab to the point where he can beat the initial diagnosis of a seven-week absence and return to the pitch earlier than we think.
"This is not a torn ligament that needs surgical intervention. All you need is rest and physical therapy. I've known Leo for years and I have no doubt he will be ready in the least possible recovery time, maybe before the six-week deadline. He gets crazy when he can't play. The will to play again and the desire to be healed have huge influence on the outcome."

We know better not to doubt Messi, and if one of his closest friends believes he'll come back earlier, than we better believe it as well.
