The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana open up the Camp Nou doors this Saturday to welcome Atlético Madrid for what could very well be the title-deciding fixture in this season of La Liga. And coach Luis Enrique has named the squad for the game.
There are no surprises on the list, but there are certainly good news for the Catalan giants: Jordi Alba, who missed the last three games with a hamstring injury, and Arda Turan, out of the last match with fever, both return to the squad. It's a special match for the Turkish midfielder, who ends the first month of his Barça career against his former team. Another injury doubt, Neymar Jr., is also on the list.
Marc Bartra, Jordi Masip, Sandro Ramírez and Adriano Correia did not make the squad per coach's decision. These are the eighteen men called up by Enrique for Saturday:
Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Claudio Bravo
Defenders: 3. Gerard Piqué, 6. Dani Alves, 14. Javier Mascherano, 18. Jordi Alba, 22. Aleix Vidal, 23. Thomas Vermaelen, 24. Jérémy Mathieu
Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 7. Arda Turan, 8. Andrés Iniesta, 20. Sergi Roberto
Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 11. Neymar Jr., 17. Munir El-Haddadi
Projected Starting Lineup (4-3-3):
Bravo; Alves, Piqué, Mascherano, Alba; Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta; Messi, Suárez, Neymar
