The international break moves along, and with it come transfer rumors because the papers don't really have too much to talk about. When those rumors involve Barcelona, we have to report them. It's our job, like it or not (even we don't sometimes).
Anyway, the latest rumor comes from The Sun, with a report that claims the Catalan giants are preparing a £20 million offer in the January transfer window for Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, currently on loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach. The rumor stops making sense right there: Christensen can't be signed in January because he'll be on loan until next summer. But wait! The Sun says he "could head to the Nou Camp either in the next window or more likely at the end of this season", so they've corrected themselves a little bit.
Christensen is a very promising defender and has been linked with the Blaugrana for a while, which is not surprising or stupid. The Danish is a very good ball-playing defender, and with his size and aerial prowess he has been compared to Gerard Piqué and could even turn out to be the New Piqué in a few years. Playing alongside Geri would help with that, but Barça aren't really interested in Andreas. Sorry, The Sun.
