Barcelona set price for transfer listed defender ahead of January window - report

Not too expensive, but not cheap either!

Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal is very likely to leave the club in the upcoming transfer window, and now his price is set.

According to reports in Spain, the Blaugrana defender will be allowed to leave as soon as an offer of €12 million is presented by a potential buyer. Barça signed Vidal for €15 million last year, which clearly shows the club is willing to take a (small) loss in order to get rid of a player who's not part of the plans anymore.

There is always the possibility of a loan if a permanent transfer doesn't work out, and Barça sporting director Robert Fernández will also try to include Vidal in a swap deal for a another right-back, specifically Valencia's João Cancelo or Arsenal's Héctor Bellerín.

Aleix Vidal has failed to impress ever since joining the club two summers ago, and is now an out-of-favor backup to Sergi Roberto. Roberto is currently injured, and Vidal could have a last chance to change Luis Enrique's mind if the coach decides to start the Spaniard on Saturday's La Liga match against Deportivo La Coruña.
