Barcelona have now won three consecutive La Liga games after a comfortable 1-0 win over Granada at Camp Nou, thanks to a goal from Rafinha Alcântara. The Blaugrana were dominant from start to finish against a parked bus from the worst team in Spain, and found the winner in the second half to pick up an important victory and move to second place in the league table.
From the very start the story of the game was set: Granada would park a bus and Barça would have to find a way to score against it. But the Catalans were too stagnant with the ball and there was very little movement from the players without it, so the ball would just go from side to side without any type of penetration. The only real chance was a header from Samuel Umtiti after a corner-kick, and that was it.
At halftime, dominance of possession but nothing else. Not according to plan.
Barça needed an early goal to calm things down and be more comfortable in the second half, and that's what happened. A beautifully worked team play ended with Neymar hitting the post, but the ball came to Rafinha who volleyed home the opener.
The goal didn't exactly spark Barça into a brilliant performance or even more goals, but the Blaugrana controlled the rest of the game and didn't allow Granada to have any chances.
In the end, three points and a boost of confidence ahead of the visit to Manchester City in three days. Well done, boys!
