Barcelona got a very important victory on the road by coming back from behind and earning a giant 2-1 win away from home at Sevilla. A tale of two halves saw Barça survive a terrible first period and get a huge win in the final 45 minutes to pick up three huge points and stay in second place in the La Liga table.

FIRST HALF

Mess.

The Blaugrana were completely out of control in the entire period, with both the defense and the offense out of sync. Sevilla opened the scoring inside 15 minutes through Vitolo, and they should have scored one or two more goals, but couldn't.

Barça's bad first half wasn't worse thanks to the genius of Lionel Messi, who equalized the game with a perfect shot just two minutes before halftime. The score was tied at the half, but Barça didn't look good. At all.

SECOND HALF

Messi.

The final period was a complete turnaround in all senses. Barça looked like the best team in the world again, defending well, passing well, and counter-attacking like a monster. Messi was absurd, dribbling through the entire defense and creating lots of chances for himself and his teammates. In one of those chances, Leo found Suárez alone in the box, and El Pistolero completed the comeback for the Catalans.

Sevilla naturally went forward looking for an equalizer, but Barça were in control and held on to a very important result. The second half was sensational from Messi and the team, and Barça remain close to leaders Real Madrid in the title race.
