Barcelona are finally back to the winning ways after three consecutive draws in La Liga thanks to a dominant 3-0 win on the road against Osasuna, with goals from Luis Suárez and Lionel Messi (2). The Blaugrana were in control for the entire 90 minutes, found the goals in the second half and picked up three important points away from home.
Barça were fantastic to start the game, displaying great use of possession and off-ball movement to find spaces and create chances in the first 20 minutes. Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez had two major chances each, and if it wasn't for the Osasuna goalkeeper, the Blaugrana would be up at least three goals.
The pressure and quality of play dropped a bit from the visitors in the final minutes of the half, but the Catalans were dominant enough to merit a victory in the second half. They just needed to score.
Sergio León nearly scored a spectacular goal on the counter in Osasuna's first chance of the second half, and Barça really needed to score and wrap up the win before things got out of hand. And boy did they do that in style.
A simply spectacular team play with passes from side to side, great dribbling and beautiful secondary runs ended up with Messi setting up Jordi Alba for an easy assist to Suárez, who tapped it into an open net and gave Barça the lead. Fifteen minutes later, another great team move, another assist for Jordi Alba, and Leo Messi got on the scoresheet to confirm Barça's win. Messi scored his second of the game in the final minute to seal the deal.
Osasuna naturally went forward looking for a consolation goal, but the Blaugrana kept the clean sheet and recorded a very good victory with a very good performance. Job done.
