Barcelona finished off their La Liga campaign in 2016 in spectacular fashion, scoring some unbelieavable goals and beating Espanyol 4-1 on Sunday's Catalan Derby. Luis Suárez (2), Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba scored, and Messi and Andrés Iniesta gave the Camp Nou crowd a night to remember for years and years to come.

FIRST HALF

The first 45 minutes were operated on a very high level by both teams. Barça had the ball, and the work with possession was simply sublime, with midfielders and forwards linking up to create chances and the 'MSN' launching great counter-attacks to catch a very well organized Espanyol defense off guard.

Andrés Iniesta was sensational, and he played a phenomenal ball over the top to Suárez, who controlled the ball with the outside of his weaker foot and calmly finished to put the Blaugrana ahead. No more goals were scored, but Barça's level of play was bound to give them a bigger lead in the second half.

SECOND HALF

Barça really needed a goal to wrap up the victory, and they got two, in incredible fashion. First, Andrés Iniesta dribbled through three players and found Messi, who then dribbled through FOUR players and took a shot on goal, that was saved but fell to the foot of Suárez, who scored his second of the game. A minute later, Messi dribbled through FOUR players, AGAIN, and the ball fell to Alba, who scored the third for Barça. Incredible sequence of 60 seconds of brilliance, talent and goals. Game over.

Espanyol got a consolation goal through David López, but it was too late for a miracle comeback from the visitors. Messi finally got his goal to end his spectacular night thanks to a marvelous combination play with Suárez. In the end, great result for the Blaugrana and a completely dominant victory at Camp Nou.
