Barcelona are safely through to the Copa del Rey Round of 16 after dominating the Round of 32 second leg against Hércules at Camp Nou, winning 7-0 with goals from Lucas Digne, Ivan Rakitic, Rafinha Alcântara, Arda Turan (3) and Paco Alcácer. The Blaugrana had a team full of reserves, but were very concentrated and easily got a big victory to end 2016 in style and ensure Spanish Cup games next month.

Barça were very patient with the ball, facing a Hércules side with all ten men behind the ball and SIX of them inside the box. The Blaugrana had to play a lot of lateral passes and try to find spaces without losing any patience, and as time went on, the hosts began to see some openings inside the visitors' defense, and shots began to be fired.

Near the end of the half, the clearer chances came, and Barça scored. First, a nice cross from Arda Turan found Rafinha, who had his shot blocked by the defender, but the ball fell to Digne's feet, and the Frenchman didn't waste his chance. 1-0.

In the last action of the half, a great counter attack created by Rafinha, who found Arda, who was fouled inside the box. Penalty, Rakitic easily puts it away. Game over.

The final period was all about Barça's intent. The victory and the qualification were already wrapped up. Did they want to score any more goals to make the Camp Nou crowd happy? If they did, a blowout was waiting to happen. And it happened.

First, Rafinha, then Arda Turan (three times), then Paco Alcácer, who finally scored his first official goal for Barcelona. All chipped in to give Barça a seven-goal win and end the year with happiness and excitement for what's coming in 2017.
