La Liga teams are a perfect 7-for-7 in Europe. Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Real Madrid, and Sevilla all advanced in the Champions League, while Atheltic Club Bilbao, Celta Vigo, and Villarreal did so as well in the Europa League.

Not just that, but Lionel Messi leads the goalscoring charts in the CL with 10 goals, while Aritz Aduriz is the top scorer of the EL with six.

Barcelona were the best of the lot, winning 15 points with a staggering +16 goal difference. Second were Atlético Madrid, with 15 points and a +5 difference.

Of the 24 matches played in the CL, Liga teams won 16, drew 5, and lost only 3. In the EL, it was not quite the same, but still impressive. Of 18 matches, Liga teams won 7, drew 7, and lost 4.

The CL teams had a staggering +31 combined goal difference, while the EL teams managed a combined +3.

This performance is part of a long-term trend of teams playing in La Liga storming Europe.
