Barcelona striker Sandro Ramírez out 6-7 weeks with injury

The injury bug is back.

Barcelona backup striker Sandro Ramírez will miss the next six to seven weeks of football after sustaining a muscle injury in his left leg during Friday's training session, the club announced. Sandro is likely to miss the entire month of April, which includes the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the possibly title-clinching stretch of La Liga.

This physical problem is likely to end the depressing season Sandro has had with Barça in an ever more depressing way. He's scored only three goals in 20 appearances in this campaign, and those came with a hat-trick in a Copa del Rey match. The young forward has fallen down Luis Enrique's pecking order, and is often out of the squad lists.

Sandro is rumored to be sold in the summer, and while he promised to be a good talent coming out of La Masia, he was never able to become a viable option in the team.

Have a quick recovery, Sandro. Tough day, that's for sure.
